All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. May he shower his infinite peace and blessings upon His Beloved Messenger, Muhammad p.b.u.h, upon his noble family, his companions and upon those who follow the true path until the Day of Judgement.
Hadith Five: Doubt
“Leave that which puts you in doubt for that which does not.” (Tirmizi)
This Hadith instructs us to refrain from all forms of doubtful matters whether it is income, food, clothing, practices or statements.
A true Muslim will always stay away from any doubtful things and will restrict himself to what is clearly lawful. following the above statement, the Holy prophet, peace be upon him, said, “Truthfulness is a source of contentment and falsehood is a source of doubt.” (Tirmizi)
If we apply this golden principle (regarding doubt) into out daily lives, then how easy will everything become. Alhamdulillah, there are many types of food and drink available which are halal and not doubtful. It only requires us to control our Nafs and desires from transgressing towards doubtful and Haram food.
